So Sorry! :(

Hi guys! I just want to say I am so sorry for not posting in a while. I have so much going on, from school to other stuff. I know excuses aren't exactly a reason to forgive me, but I really, really am sorry. Anyways, you guys have waited long enough for a post, so let's get down to business!

First things first, right now I am spending the night with one of my friends named Hannah! We are working on hopefully getting her a blog soon, so when she does, I will post it on here and you guys can come check it out!

Moving on to beauty, can I just some love on my Burt's Bees? I mean really, guys, the stuff is just wonderful. Right now I am really in love with the tinted lip balm in the shade "Rose." It is super light and sheer, and also really soft on your lips, and it is a nice red color. <3

In the fashion world, can I even explain how much I am loving sweaters? Where I live it is still way too hot to wear sweaters, but I seriously have a ton that I am really looking forward to wearing soon!

Anyways, off to have some fun, so I will talk to you guys soon! Love ya!

Bookshelf Tour!!!

Hi everyone! This is a specially requested post, requested by "Tempy Tucker"! So, I am going to give you guys a quick tour of my bookshelf and some of its special features!

So, this is just the overview of my bookshelf, top to bottom, with all of my books and odd little doodads. Here she is, in all of her  blazing glory:

This is the very tippy-top shelf. It just has some porcelain figurines of angels and a lady. I also have a flower pot and two birthday cards.

Next is my first book shelf. It is covered with books because everyone in my family is an avid reader, especially my mom and me. So I have some random books, my Hunger Games series, the Inkheart series, some more random books, my The Clique series. I also have a little rose, some trophies, and a clay pot I made in 6th grade.

On the next shelf is a couple Stephen King novels, some classics (did I mention all of my books are in alphabetical order by author's last name?) Next are my Twilight books (don't like Twilight) and all of my Rick Riordan books. And of course, some random books are scattered amongst the shelf, as is with all of the shelves. I also have another trophy and a plaque,  picture I painted, a fairy, and a little Irish souvenir.

I really love the 4th shelf. It has my Divergent series, my Harry Potter boxed set (1-6) followed by the 7th next to the box, The Catcher in the Rye, Treasure Island, my Series of Unfortunate Events series, and a couple of miscellaneous books.

On the second to last shelf, I have my The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making book, my Little House on the Prairie boxed set, a cupcake piggy-bank from Target, a little doll that reverses from Goldilocks to the 3 bears, and some random little treasures.

The bottom shelf just has some random papers, school textbooks, notebooks, and my big white binder full of notebook paper. Since you can see it okay in the picture below, and it isn't an interesting shelf, I won't upload a picture just for that 6th shelf. You can admire its "beauty?" from the above picture. :)

Here are just some close-ups of cool stuff on my shelves.

1st) Best birthday card. I got this birthday card from my grandparents when I turned 10, and it has little hand-stitched hedgehogs on it. They are hand-sewn cards from Ireland, how cool is that?

2nd) A picture of a popsicle I painted a couple years ago.  It's a strawberry chocolate-dipped ice cream treat against a bright orange background.

Next, I have a little clay pot I made way back in the 6th grade. I used to have a hedgehog named Herbert, so I donned the top with two little hedgies with an apple balanced on their noses, and a little heart-shaped card and flower in front of them.

The last cool thing is a picture of my kissing the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle in Ireland. I went to Ireland when I was not yet 10, and we went to this castle and I was brave enough to do that. It was super scary, but also really cool.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and have a Spectacular Saturday!

Update (2)!

Hello! First things first, I left something out of my August Favorites post. I have been in love with my friend Gigi's (Gianna) eye shadow lately. It is some sort of MAC eye shadow. It is a dark, super shiny silver and it is so pretty!

So the other thing is that Sweetie Hearts You is now on Facebook! To see the fan page, click here. So, definitely check that out and give it a like! I am so excited that it is finally in Facebook!

Anyway, just wanted to update you guys on both of those things! Bye!

August Favorites!

Hello! I am back again! And this time, it is a favorites video, specifically, August. I have had a great August, from birthdays to school, to fun with my friends! How was your August? I want to know, so leave me a comment down in the comments section!

Also, I have a notice. The post I put up on How to Follow is now gone. I figured out how to add the "Following" widget to Sweetie (How I refer to me blog), so that post is gone and to be ignored. So, things are a lot easier, especially following this blog! :P

Anyways, let's get down to business , shall we? Here we go!

First, I have two purses. The first one is from Target, which Leah got me as a birthday present, and the second is a Coach purse my parents got me for my birthday!

Leah also got me a little green Target wallet/wristlet. It has little arrows on it and is sooo cute!

Next, I have some Sticky Notes I got at Staples while school supplies shopping. They are coral, teal, blue, lime green, and purple and soo purty! They are fun and happy, which I really like.

I also have a hand cream and a candle that I got from Bath and Body Works. You can see the haul here.

The next favorite is a red hair bow from Forever 21. It is super awesome, and adds a punch of color to any outfit!

Last, but certainly not least, I have the Lemon Drop EOS Lip Balm with SPF 15. I got this a Target today (I obviously love Target.) and it is great. It smells like lemon bars, which smell great in case of the event that you have never smelled a lemon bar before, so that is wonderful. And I also just really like EOS Lip Balms. I have a strange addiction to them. Does any one else have this problem???...

I hope you guys enjoyed this Favorites post. Let me know what your favorites are for the month of August. Bye!!!

 Love,

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Hi everyone! I am going to be posting a haul post today! :D Who's excited? I know I am! Since we are so excited (yeah right) let's go ahead and start without further ado!

So, the first thing I got was a little travel sized fine fragrance mist in the scent "Beautiful Day." It is so sweet and fruity and wonderful and the best part was, it was free! (I had a coupon!) So, that was certainly great!

Second, I picked up a True Blue Spa Shea Butter Creamy Cleansing Bar. (What a mouthful, right?)
I tried my mom's this year at the beach and I really did fall in love with it. It smells great, is super soft, and is just awesome. So, my mom actually bought it for me. Thanks mom! Now I get to use it 24/7!

Continuing the category of lotions and soaps, I also got a mini Shea Cashmere Hand Crème. This was also a little gift from my mom. Isn't she sweet? This stuff is super soft, and I'm not kidding when I say your hands will feel like baby hands!

Moving on, how could I go to Bath and Body Works without picking up some hand sanitizer? I only got one though, I had to restrict myself because I do have some still. I decided on a breezy scent, "Montana Mountain Air." If Montana really did smell like that, I just might consider moving there!

Now I only have left room scents. The first one I picked up is a room spray in "Fresh Picked Heirloom Pear." It just smells like the freshest pears imaginable. Like, just picked, still in the picking bucket fresh. My room smells great right now! Also, the little bottle is made to look like a green owl! How cute is that?

Last, but certainly not least, I purchased a mini candle in "Fresh Picked Farmstand Apple." I used it both last night and this morning while I was up in my room. I am really happy. It smells so good, and super fresh and apple-y! And apples really get me pumped up for fall, so this was a very good choice.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know what your favorite fall candle is in the comments! I will talk to you guys later! Bye!

First Day of School!

Today was my very first day of 8th Grade! I had such a wonderful day once I got past all of the butterflies. I will admit that I was very nervous, new friends, new teachers, new school layout and it was all very unfamiliar, which are the perfect conditions for being nervous. I went to all of my classes throughout the day, and met the students in my classes and all of my teachers. I only have some of my friends in my classes (my best friend Leah is only in my Geometry class :( ), but all of my teachers were super friendly and great! I did get a little bit confused about my schedule but I'm pretty sure that happens to everyone. Right? Right. So, overall, it was a great first day back, and I assume it will be a great school year!

How was your first day of school? Let me know in the comments and I will talk to you guys later!

Back to School!

Hi guys! How are you guys doing? I am well, but summer is coming to an end. I have only 1 more day of freedom. On Tuesday, August 20th, I have to return to the hallways, the lockers, the bells, the teachers, the friends, and yes, the homework. School. I do love school, (I am often called a "Teacher's Pet" but I am not rude or act standoffish.) but I am just not excited to go back like I usually am. It just doesn't feel like I got into a summer grove this summer, and I am not ready for it to be over so soon! I have all of my supplies and my schedule, so physically I am ready. Mentally, I am not!

Are you guys ready for school to start? (If it hasn't already!) And leave in the comments when you went or are going back to school!

Quick Post: New Fave Song!!!

Guys, I have discovered something wonderful. I have found my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have found light in a place filled with darkness. Okay, admittedly, maybe not that GREAT. Anyways, I have found a new favorite song! It is "I Do Adore" by Mindy Gledhill. I know it has been out for a couple of years, but I stumbled upon it today, and instantly fell in love!!!!!!! Here is the link if you want to listen to it yourself. Just go here. Thanks for stopping by!

Room Tour!!!!

Hello guys! Yes, this is the "post" we have all been waiting for! It is finally here! :D Hooray! Anyways, you guys have waited long enough for this post, so let's get started!!!!!!

So, first we have the door/entryway. I have a ballerina clock that I have had forever, the edges of both of my closets (leave me a comment if you want to see a closet tour!), and the back of my door, which is where all of my purses are hanging! Thanks Mom and Dad for the wonderful green cross body Coach purse!

When you first enter, your are facing my bed. I have a comforter with flowers on it from TJMaxx, along with a little stuffed letter "M." Beside my bed we have my nightstand and my bookshelf!

This is my nightstand! I have a lamp from target, my alarm clock, and a little glass bowl filled with my EOS lip balms.

On the adjoining wall, I have my desk. It just has my phone, laptop, and a cookie on it currently. :) If you want to see my desk more in depth, just go here.

Next to my desk is my super awesome hammock that I received for Christmas this year!

On the opposite side of my bed I have my bookshelf, the entrance to my bathroom, and my back pack. I have my bookshelf organized in alphabetical order!!!!!!!! Yay! :) Now, since you guys waited so long for this post, I am giving you guys a treat! We are also going to tour my bathroom really quickly!

When you walk in, you are right next to my sink/counter. I have a mirror, hand towel, salt scrub, and my soaps!

On that same wall I have my toilet. On top of it I have a silver dolphin from Ireland, an Eiffel Tower from Paris, a gem, and a s'mores scented candle.

On the opposing wall, I have four cards from Papyrus framed. They are an "Orange Girl," "Butterfly Girl," "Peacock Girl," and a "Flower Girl."

At the end of my bathroom, I have my shower. Gotta have one of those! :)

Lastly, I have a closer view of my sink. I have my Holy City Salt scrub in a little glass container (read the review here.) and my J. R. Watkins Hand Soap in "Grapefruit." (It smells really good!)

Well, that is my room tour, and my bathroom tour! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I'm sorry it took so long for me to put up!

Forever 21 Haul and Some Birthday Presents!

Hi guys! Good to talk to you guys again! I've missed you. Anyway, this post will be an early birthday post. My grandparents came down today to celebrate my birthday early, and I wanted to show you guys what I got!

First, I got a new earring holder! It is a little black owl with holes all over him. He even has a little bowl for rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc..., around him as his stand. This also came with several (18) pairs of ocean-related stud earrings. (My ears are pierced.) You know, stuff like anchors, sailboats, crabs, seashells, etc.... (In the ring bowl are my already purchased rings!)

Second, I got a $100 Forever 21 gift card. My excitement level was huge. Forever 21 has really great prices, so for $100 you can get a lot of stuff! So, later on, my mom took my to Forever 21 and I spent $90 of my $100! Here is what I got!

a) I got a cream sweater with roses on it. It is so cute and very, very soft! It is long sleeved, too, so it is perfect for when it gets a little colder!

b) I also got a black sweater with a white top (like, a color blocked top, but in black and white) with a little faux collar. It is also very soft, and is super cute. However, this one is short sleeved!

c, d, and e) I also got an aqua sleeveless top with bunnies on it, along with a pair of regular skinny jeans, and some jeans that are a dusty rose color. They are currently in the wash, so I will post pictures of them later!

f) I also got some jewelry! I got two rings! The first one is a gold ring with an arrow-and-a-heart on it!

g) I also got another gold ring. This one says "love" in cursive, with a little rhinestone in the "o!"

h) I also got some hair bows. They are a red faux-leather one, and three mini ones- two different red plaids, and a navy one with white polka dots.

i) To top it all off, I got a gold necklace. The necklace has a super long chain, which I love. On the end it as a gold heart, but when you look closer it is actually made to look like a nail that has been bent to make the heart shape!

This concludes this post, and I will talk to you guys later! Bye!

July Favorites!!!

Hi guys, and Happy August! July sure flew by! Since it is the first day of August, I think I should be on time and do a July Favorites post. So I am going to show you guys what I have been loving in the month of July!!!

The first thing is actually a Pinterest board, so I can really get that into a picture of my favorites. The board in called My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter and is written by Tiffany Beveridge. It is soooo funny! You can read about it on my blog here!

Anyways, on to everything else! Are you ready?

1) First I have my beauty favorites. The first one in this category is my Honeysuckle Honeydew EOS lip balm. I love this lip balm! It smells so wonderful and fresh and is perfect for summer!
2) Second I have my Stila Lip Glaze trio. It came with the shades "Kitten," "Maraca," and "Piñata." These lip glazes are wonderful and are so pretty!!! From left to right it is Kitten, Piñata, and Maraca.

3) Next for my beauty favorites I have my Burt's Bees Lip Gloss in the shade Rosy Dawn. This is a great lip gloss! It is a nice, bright pink with the perfect amount of shimmer!

4) As my fourth beauty favorite, I have my Bath & Body Works Body Lotion and Fine Fragrance Mist in Pure Paradise, which is currently my favorite scent! You can read about the Fine Fragrance Mist in my "Colors of the Rainbow Tag" here.

5) My last beauty favorite is the Sephora Long Lasting Eye Shadow in "Golden Girls," No. 50. This eye shadow is so pretty. It looks almost like rose gold, and has a ton of sparkle!

6) Next I have my fashion favorites for the month of July! My first fav in this category is my Seahorse Shoes from Old Navy! I love these shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7) Next, I have my white sundress with skull-and-crossbones eyelets! This dress is so fun and detailed, and it super comfy, too! It is super cute. The dress appears to have little eyelets on it, but really they are skull-and-crossbones eyelets!

8) Last in my fashion faves is my silver rhinestone key necklace from Old Navy. It is a silver key, with the top in the shape of a heart, The heart part (hey, that rhymes!!!) and the teeth of the key are inlaid with tiny silver rhinestones.

9) Finally, we have the arts category: books, music, and art supplies. The first thing of mention is the Vera Bradley Stationery Kit in "Ribbons." It has three sizes of paper, and came with a little, mini, matching pen.

10) Second, we have a pink Le Pen. It is a bright pink, with a  super fine tip. It is perfect for writing down anything, and I am in love!

 11) Next in line are two books. They are companion novels, so they feature a lot of the same characters and conflicts. They are Stephen King's "Desperation" and Stephen King's, "Richard Bachman's," "The Regulators. I may seem very girly, but I do love Stephen King. A lot. I currently have in my possession, eight of his books! :)

12) The final, not just in this category, but also in the entire favorites list, is the music that I have been loving! I have three wonderful songs I have picked out. The first one is Wilco's "One Sunday Morning,"  the second is The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather," and the third is Wilco's "Dawned On Me." These are all three great songs!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and comment down below some of your favorites and/or must-haves for July. Talk to you guys soon!

 Love,
  Madeleine <3
